HUSZTI dental care
You don’t have to tell people from Milford and Highland who have been on skates since shortly after they could walk that hockey is a team sport. Success only comes when everyone works together: Teamwork, the old saying goes, makes the dream work.
It’s like that at Huszti Dental Care, too. With two restorative dentists and three board-certified specialists operating out of the same office, there are very few issues that can’t be addressed in the same place.
Amanda knows that, now, too. She plays in a hockey league with other middle school girls from Highland and Milford and has a reputation for always being right in the thick of things on the ice. That’s why the accidental stick she took to the mouth in practice one day didn’t mean much to her. But over time, one of her teeth in front started turning gray. During a regularly scheduled cleaning, our hygienist voiced her concern about it.
And this is where having the right
team in place paid off. After talking with Drs. Bill Huszti and Anna Chong-Huszti, they brought in Drs. Mark Isler, a periodontist, and Paul Ho, an oral surgeon to assess the situation. The tooth, they told Amanda’s parents, had a significant crack, lost its blood supply and would continue to discolor and could get worse. While there was no pain now, it was just a matter of time. In addition, Amanda was getting ready to enter high school, and she was concerned about how she would look. To the dentists, though, it was more than simply a cosmetic issue, and it needed to be addressed soon.
The team consulted and after taking into account Amanda’s age and the fact that all her adult teeth had come in, suggested an
individual implant to replace the discolored tooth. Amanda and her parents were relieved to know that all the work would be done by the specialists in the Huszti Dental Care office, where they had been coming for years. It made the whole process less stressful and, because Amanda had been a patient of Bill and Anna’s since before she first strapped on skates, it was easier to achieve a successful outcome.
Amanda’s parents also were thrilled with the ease of the process because there was no need to find a specialist somewhere else, and undertake the tedious process of filling out forms and insurance information at a different practice.
Because Huszti Dental Care is right on the border of Milford and Highland, where Amanda and her family live, they could fit the treatment in without missing a practice. Amanda’s back on the ice, secure in the knowledge that two teams have her back.
